Plus many more....
Come and join us for an evening of exceptional music from the best acts from around the North West.

The idea behind this gig was to make aware of peace day ( see below for more information ) But also to raise funds for Laif Asjeds Son-rise Programme. Laif turns 5 in November and is Autistic. His family set up his programme in June 2009 and Laif is really taking to the way the son-rise programme works to help develop his social skills, including - Eye contact, Communication, Interactive attention span and Flexibility.

As the son- Rise programme is set within families homes, it's very costly to get the sufficient training needed to help with Laif's progress.
for £100 we can have an hour consultation with the trainers from the Option Institute in Massacusets, America to guide us within his programme.
For £200 we can also help the family with the cost of Laifs Medication.
Come along, enjoy the music and feel good to know you are contributing greatly to Laifs life.
What is Peace one day and why only for one day?
Peace One Day looks to engage all sectors of society, including governments, organisations of the United Nations system, regional and non-governmental organisations and individuals in observance of 21 September, through the practical manifestation of non-violence and ceasefire in accordance with UN GA Resolution 55/282, and encourage action on Peace Day that creates a united and sustainable world.

In 1999, preoccupied with questions about the fundamental nature of humanity and the most pressing issues of our time, filmmaker Jeremy Gilley launched Peace One Day and set out to find a starting point for peace. He had a mission: to document his efforts to establish the first ever annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence with a fixed calendar date.

Remarkably, two years on, he achieved his primary objective when the 192 member states of the United Nations unanimously adopted 21 September as an annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence on the UN International Day of Peace. We call that day Peace Day.

The Son-Rise Program was created by Barry Neil Kaufman and Samahria Lyte Kaufman to reach their own son, diagnosed as incurably autistic with an under 30 IQ, and transformed him into a young man with a near-genius IQ, who graduated from an Ivy League university and has no trace of his original condition. After directing a learning center for adolescent students, he became a teacher and trainer at The Option Institute and recently became the CEO of the Institute as well as Autism Treatment Center of America, a division of the Institute, where The Son-Rise Program is taught to parents and families from all around the world.

This unique treatment program, based on an attitude of love and acceptance, is profoundly gentle, non-judgmental and respectful of the child's world and creates maximum opportunity for growth.
The money raised on the event will go to Laif's Son-rise programme to help us pay for sufficient training needed to continue working towards the goal of curing Laif from Autism.
