Patchwork Quilting 4th Sept 10.30-1.30, £28.

Learn to make a funky patchwork quilted cushion. Experienced and talented tutor Lisa will introduce you to quilting techniques such as Suffolk Puffs, Cathedral window, log cabin and traditional pieced patchwork. All materials and equipment are provided and places are limited so booking is essential.

Silk Painting 11th September 10.30-1.30, £26. Paint on silk using gutta outliner and vibrant silk dye with experience tutor and textile designer Margo Singer.

Crochet Animals 2nd October 10.30-1.30 cost £28

Helen will be showing you how to make crocheted animals. She will demonstrate how to make various 3D shapes using crochet, and will then show you how to assemble them to create different creatures, you may choose common-or-garden cats, pigs, fish, or aliens with three heads.

Natural Dyeing

Paper making with Maggie Holland 23rd & 24th October 2010, 10.30-1.30 £55.00 for two workshop sessions.
Maggie is inspired by Japanese paper making techniques and will take you through the process of paper making to produce exquisite paper art. You will make decorative papers which you can use in your projects for embroidery, pictures, collage, crafts and book making. Explore this wonderful craft using a lovely variety of materials. Maggie works with paper and fabric to create fibre art works inspired by Japanese paper.

You will learn how to incorporate materials, threads and net into your felt to create a textured finished picture. You will also have the chance to experiment with colours and shapes. A wide range of the best quality merino coloured fleece, pre-felt, fabrics, feathers and yarn will be available for you to use during the workshop. Baby Booties Sunday 14th November 2010, 10.30-2pm, £25.00.

Nuno Scarf 7th November 10.30-2.30, £28.
Learn the technique of felting the fleece into fabric. Using the cotton fabric provided and the finest quality merino fleece you will design and make a scarf. Basket weaving Wednesdays 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th November
We shall start by cutting, folding and preparing the strips to weave. The first week you will need painting overalls as we shall be splashing paint around to decorate the corrugated card. You will be shown step by step how to weave together a corrugated cardboard basket and a square newspaper basket. You will be shown how to finish the edges and how to add threads and beads.
